Capri, Italy

When we were getting Steven’s haircut at a local barbershop in Procida, a local convinced us that Capri was an overpriced tourist trap that bottled up the “air of Capri” only to sell it so we were wholly convinced it wasn’t worth visiting. However, we as continued our trip through Italy, everyone else told us Capri was worth it.

Since we had 10 amazingly long days in Italy, we decided it was worth a day :) We took the ferry from Sorrento and were surprised how packed it was! It’s not one of the top destinations in Italy for nothing! Capri is made up of two sides: Anacapri & Capri. We only got to see Capri this time, but would love to come back again.

First stop: the heart of the city at the Piazzetta di Capri.

They have the best gelato we had of our Italy trip there: Buonocore Gelateria Pasticceria Gastronomia e Tavola Calda. The gelato was so nice we ate there twice!

For lunch, we decided we needed a dose of non-Italian food so we ate at Hangout Capri for burgers and an eggplant parmesan sandwich.

Something that surprised us is it only cost a few euros to visit all of the sights of Capri! The Giardini di Augusto overlooked the iconic Via Krupp. So pretty and there was randomly a professional fashion photoshoot happening there at the same time.

We hiked to the Natural Arch, which was very pretty.

We then walked to Villa Lysis up a very high hill. Woof! It was worth the views.

Capri stunned from every angle. Very worth visiting! =) Highly recommend!
